Millennium III Upright mechanics
The Millennium III Upright Action features ABS-Carbon components that are derived from a composite material created by carbon fiber infusion to the renowned ABS Styran. ABS-Carbon is incredibly stable and stiff, allowing lighter action elements to be created without sacrificing strength. The result is a stronger, faster action that offers more energy, better control and more stability than traditional all-wood actions.

Cast aluminum brackets
They are made from a unique mold, the pressed parts are exactly the same in every case. The K-Series pianos feature three aluminum actuation consoles that are cast for strength, evenness, and stability for added precision for a precise touch.

Longer keys
Longer keys make playing easier and provide a more even response from the front to the back of the playing surface. The player benefits from more effort and more power with less effort.

Resonator made of solid spruce
The record is the heart of a piano. Its purpose is to transform the vibrations of the piano's sound waves into a rich, loud sound. Kawai only uses perpendicular lattice oak spruce for the K series records. Each sound plate is strategically tapered to maximize its sonic growth ability. Only those that meet or exceed our exacting quality standards are used in our professional upright pianos.

Mahogany core & T-studded double felt hammers
Mahogany hammer moldings are light and extremely responsive. Found only on the finest pianos, mahogany for hammer moldings in the entire line of K series professional uprights. All K Series hammers are T-Stapled to preserve the shape of the hammer and with an additional inner layer of bottom band to support the creation of an exceptional tone.

Steel reinforced keyboard holder
A piano keyboard rest is the long, horizontal piece of wood that covers the face of the keys. Because it is long, thin, and made of wood, the key plate can bend or bend when the humidity changes, causing the keys to stick. To overcome this problem, a heavy steel angle iron is added to prevent rotation and bending in any direction. The buttons move freely, there is practically no possibility of rubbing or button pressing.

Reinforced keyboard holder
A piano bed must be strong and stable to support the action assembly and maintain action control over years of heavy use. AK Series Key Holders are made of strong laminated hardwood and reinforced rear end caps on the iron frame to aid in stable placement and increase rigidity to prevent energy loss.
