The K-15E's exclusive Ultra-Responsive™ direct blow mechanism is made with selected hardwood keystocks and 100% wool felt, providing exceptional tilt and sound. In order to ensure the climatic stability of the mechanism, Kawai is the first to make the central rail and the string-holding parts from aluminum, thereby avoiding the defects caused by the use of wooden parts, such as breakage due to continuous high tension, and shrinkage/swelling due to changes in temperature and humidity.
