The VPC1 is based on Kawai's latest 'RM3 Grand II' wood tilt technology, which combines realistic, physical movement and mechanism to create the superior tilt of the greatest grand piano.

Kawai's VPC1 88 keys are made from long pieces of wood with an Ivory Touch surface that absorbs moisture and helps control your playing. In addition, the class-leading VPC1 keying technique provides a number of additional acoustic piano-level characteristics, including naturally smooth "seesaw" key movement, staggered balanced key nails, graded weighted hammers, 'bass key counter weights' and Let-off simulation. The 'RM3 Grand II' tilting is strengthened by the new 3-sensor key recognition system, improved key pressure repetition and sensitivity, gives the opportunity to control a wider range from staccato style to legato style.
